ANASAZI CLIFF HOUSE SUNSET

This masterpiece is an imaginary scene I created reflective of the Anasazi dwellings throughout the southwest United States.

The eagle soaring over the broken up red rock formations below the “cliff-roofed” dwellings seemed a natural addition to this red rock scene.

The river, plateaus, and red rock mountains and cliffs in the background all create an ambience unique to the desert landscapes found in southeastern Utah, Arizona and elsewhere.

The light I’ve added to this vista is intended to accentuate this beautiful panorama.

I’ve wondered what it would have been like to be a “cliff dweller” and am satisfied that the stark beauty of this scene would have been overshadowed by the hard earned price of day-to-day untold hardships necessary simply to survive.

This product includes archival quality protective varnish, and a dust cover and hanging hardware if framed.

Originals are painted using high quality artist grade acrylic paint on double sided, tempered, masonite (hard board) which is very durable and, unlike canvas, will never stretch or flex and crack the paint.
