RED CANYON T-REX

This piece was inspired by a hiking and photography trip I took to Red Canyon some years ago.

Red Canyon is located along Scenic Byway 12, nine miles outside of Bryce Canyon. If you are planning to enter Bryce Canyon from the west, you will pass right through it. Because Red Canyon is part of Dixie National Forest, rather than a national park or monument, there is no fee to enter the canyon.

The red rock formations in this piece are led by a large monolith that to me resembles the head of a Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur.

The light I’ve added to this amazing scene is vibrant, enveloping, and intended to be astonishing in it’s placement.

The dead trees and delicate wild flowers in the foreground, and the eagle flying overhead in the background, instills in me a feeling of wonder and awe at Gods creative handiwork in Red Canyon, Utah.

This product includes archival quality protective varnish, and a dust cover and hanging hardware if framed.

Originals are painted using high quality artist grade acrylic paint on double sided, tempered, masonite (hard board) which is very durable and, unlike canvas, will never stretch or flex and crack the paint.
